ROMANOV SHEEP IN MY FARM
The two non consanguineous groups of Romanov sheep in my farm can be identified as:
a) Offspring of Peter the Great
b) Offspring of Ivan the Terrible
The “family” of Peter the Great is composed of 13 young dams (under 20 months of age) and some rams. The “family” of Ivan the Terrible is composed of 18 dams aged one to seven years old and different rams. In addition to adult sheep there are also newborn lamb and those which are to be born in this period to each family which have two lines of blood more or less connected to each other.
Next year rams will be switched in order to cancel any kinship, current buyers get Romanov pairs whose members come each from a different group. Certification is available upon request.
On June 22nd, 2 young rams and 4 young ewes joined the farm. They come from Mr. Fabio Martinelli’s farm, in Fucecchio, close to Florence, and their dams come directly from the French center GEODE, certificate of ARR/ARR. These are very beautiful specimen and after quarantine they will revitalize the Romanov selection already in the farm.
